At the Head of the Table

“Bring out your dead, bring out your dead…” As Terry has often said as he’s picking up empty pint glasses throughout his establishment. As Richmonders, some of us have been surrounded by these pub walls for years. As LFC fans, there is nothing like seeing Terry and son Terence, kit on, ushering us through the doors. Whether it is Phil, Shane, Sam, Jeff, Eric, Paoula, or Taylor ready to serve us pints at 7:30am, or the scurrying staff coming through, fish and chips in hand to deliver, these dedicated staff members are not only loyal to the game of football, and we fans, but also this institution we simply call, The Pub.

Walking into Penny is just special, a home away from home with a warm hug and pint to embrace you as you prepare to watch our boys on the pitch. It is that camaraderie, history, and fandom that has made this place what it is every match day.

Watching our numbers grow each year in membership is truly heartwarming. Some of us have seen these bar stools barely covered in years past for matchday, and now—filled with song, cheer, and lots of nuzzled seats.

This morsel of Liverpool is a gift from the O’Neill family and a tradition for a lot of us here in Richmond, football or otherwise. May it be our mainstay for years and matches to come. With Lisa, Terence, and the occasional sighting of their kids, Penny Lane is not only the heartbeat of OLSC Richmond, but also a consistent contributor to our fine city. We could not do any of this without them and we appreciate them wholeheartedly.

Thank you O’Neill’s and Penny Lane, we can’t wait for the next season!
