OLSC Richmond gives More
To our membership, supporters, and other friends at Penny Lane Pub for another amazing 2025-26 season for our charity work. This past season we were able to donate just over $7,000.00. This money was shared among six different non-profit/charity organizations with FeedMore and Richmond Animal Care and Control Foundation receiving the largest portions. We want to thank you for your outstanding continued participation and support. Each time you put money into the charity jar or donate via Venmo you help to make our community, our world, a better place and we THANK YOU!
In 2025-26 we were able to donate 180 lbs. of food from our December food drive and $2,000.00 in cash plus a $1,000.00 matching funds donation to FeedMore. FeedMore is the food bank that provides food, help, and hope across Central Virginia. FeedMore provides over 2 million meals a year and over 730,000 pounds of food per week across thirty-four different cities and counties from the Northern Neck to the North Carolina border. Your contributions this year provided over 12,000 meals. OLSC Richmond is working with FeedMore to create volunteer opportunities for our membership this coming season. Please keep your eyes open for opportunities to work together with FeedMore through volunteer events this season.
In 2025-26 we were also able to support Richmond Animal Care & Contol Foundation who work tirelessly to tend to the needs of over 3,000 stray, sick, injured, and relinquished animals annually. RACC provides vital emergency care, fostering, and finding new homes for animals across the Richmond area.
Thank you again for all of your support!
