the LFC Foundation Social Action Challenge

OLSC Richmond enters the competition…

This season, OLSC Richmond is proud to take part in the LFC Foundation Social Action Challenge, an initiative encouraging Liverpool supporters around the world to make a positive impact in their own communities.

The idea is beautifully simple: think globally, act locally.

The LFC Foundation has created eight challenges inspired by the work it does throughout Liverpool and beyond, inviting supporters to put their own spin on them and find ways to make a difference where they live.

Challenge Accepted.

Eight Challenges. One CLUB. Same Spirit.

Over the coming weeks, we’ll introduce one new Social Action Challenge each week and give our members simple ways to get involved.

The eight challenges cover

  • Physical activity

  • Community support

  • Protecting our planet

  • Social isolation

  • Music and mental health

  • Food poverty

  • Equality in sport

  • Inspiring young people

Some weeks may mean getting outside and moving. Another might mean volunteering, supporting a local organization, checking in on someone who could use a little company, helping address food insecurity, supporting girls and women in sport, or finding a way to inspire Richmond’s young people.

Some challenges we may tackle together as a club. Others you can take on individually, with your family, with friends or with a few fellow Reds. Don’t feel obligated to complete all eight.

This isn’t about who can do the most. It’s about how many small acts of good we can put into the world when an entire community decides to participate.

Watch for the Weekly Challenge

Each week, we’ll announce the next challenge through our website, email and social channels, along with ideas for how you can participate right here in Richmond.

When you take part, show us. Send us your photos, videos and stories so we can share what our Richmond Reds are doing and document our club’s participation. The official challenge likewise encourages supporters to capture their efforts through photos and video. Whether you are knitting LFC hats for the poor this winter or doing a neighborhood clean up…we want to know!

Supporting our community isn't new to us. We’ve fed the jar, collected food, supported local organizations and turned matchdays at Penny Lane into opportunities to do some good. We can do this!

The incentives will be worth the effort!

Thanks for helping us be the Best Football Supporters Club in the World (or at least Virginia)!

More Than a Club. YNWA RVA.
